Zaiwalla & Co has a pioneering approach to both the law and its client base. In the 1980s, the firm acted for the Indian Government in all of its shipping matters (many arising out of aid provision for India's food shortage at the time).  

In the 1990s we were one of the first English law firm to enter China, and consequently acted in the Chinese Government’s first London arbitrations. We have also built strong connections with clients in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. 

From 2011 onwards, at a time when other firms were still hesitant, Zaiwalla & Co represented private Iranian clients to challenge international sanctions in what became ground-breaking litigations in the UK and EU Courts.
