The Times of India speaks to Sarosh Zaiwalla on extradition rules in the case of Indian billionaire fleeing to the UK

Nirav Modi is a billionaire diamond trader and jeweller to Hollywood and Bollywood stars. Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank,  has filed a criminal complaint that accused Mr Modi and others of defrauding the bank, costing it 2.8bn rupees ($43.8m). The bank publicly alleged that the jeweller was among those involved in an alleged $1.8bn fraud - which has led to fears for India's second-largest state-run bank. Mr Modi has left India and is now confirmed to be in the UK. The Times of India spoke to Mr Zaiwalla about UK law on extradition and political asylum.
